From Thomas Grattan, PEN/Hemingway Award, LA Times Seidenbaum Award, and Joyce Carol Oates Prize nominee and author of The Recent East and In Tongues, a decades-spanning, polyphonic novel following the cast and crew of a fictional theater production, beginning when the musical's early 1990s Saratoga Springs debut is derailed by its main star snapping a tendon in her foot, and progressing through the AIDS crisis and into 2010s New York as the musical is revived and as its main players orbit, obsess over, and reconnect with one another.
